on the b side, the original mix of “manner” is a mellow deeper cut built on a long spoken word tale floating over hypnotic beats, while the remix of the young talented federico brasi is an acid jacking minimalistic reinterpretation featuring solid vintage flavored drums.

the first part of another golf channel double header from the insanely prolific and scarily on form combination of dean meredith & ben shenton. a side *c.e.r.e.m.o.n.y.* has been dubbed the barnyard stomp by split secs / sonns travis kirschbaum (aka tk disco) - 11 minutes of bluesy peyote riot that features derek holt of 70s black country legends the climax blues band. b side *hiding from my shadow* is ripe with the funk too, but takes us away from the fertile stench of the psychedelic session in the barn and instead channels minneapolis via stafford as p-funk squiggles give way to mr. meredith’s trademark chugging bass. metal and technology vs mother earth in an elemental battle - both sides win! golf channel every time !

standard fair was born in 1980 in sapporo, japan, and played the bass in a punk band until he was 20. he is very influenced by various genres of music but now he produces sophisticated deep house. after some excellent releases on resopal and little helpers he returns on joyfull with some great dance tracks.
ep includes 2 remixes produced by someone else (the philadelphia based dj and producer, co-founder of the tuning spork and fuzzy box record labels and owner of little helpers) and aldo cadiz (one of the leading producers of electronic underground in chile and one of the most respected djs in south america).

the first release on the hotly anticipated recore records, a-fair comprises of three tracks from jack barton, with a remix for the lead track from pawas, a must have name in anybodies record collection. jack barton although relatively new to production, with this his second release, he is no stranger to making waves on the dancefloor and can be regularly seen playing not only in his hometown of manchester, but also much further afield. this ep showcases his talents as a producer with a spectrum of sounds from each track.
